There are certain items in my pantry that I always have to have,, SPICES (cumin, chili flakes, cinnamon, turmeric, to name the top 4 of my like 20!), vinegars (ACV, balsamic, red wine, and rice wine), pasta, a variety of flours and grains, and dried fruit. My favorite items are those that are versatile, and can be used multiple ways, such as coconut oil and apple cider vinegar! I use coconut oil a bit in baking,, but actually use it mostly for my homemade deodorant. Mostly, I love my Apple Cider Vinegar! I use it often in salad dressings, take a shot every morning, and use it weekly to wash my hair (<< I’ve been doing this for almost 2 years and have yet to post my routine, oops.) So when Swanson Vitamins came out with their own Apple Cider Vinegar, I knew I just had to try it!
What was most important to me, was that the Vinegar was:
– Raw
– Unfiltered
– Unpasteurized
and most importantly…
– Contained The Mother
Why is this important? Well first off, it tastes much better: it has a clear, tangy taste, just like I love. The “mother” is what gives the vinegar the health benefits: it is a “complex of proteins, enzymes, fiber and friendly bacteria” that is at the bottom of every bottle.
I received it about a month ago, and have been using it the same way I’ve always used vinegar (before, my staples were Braggs or Whole Foods 365 brand!): a shot every morning, in salad dressings, to cook, and as conditioner. Check out Swanson’s post for 30 Uses for Apple Cider Vinegar ! Then, you can purchase their new ACV on their site, for an awesome low price!
Lately, I’ve been enjoying the Apple Cider Vinegar in a salad dressing. I actually even whipped this up to take to Friendsgiving for my Quidditch Team!
